2023 NFL Combine Kicks Off with Top Prospects and On-Field Workouts

The 2023 NFL Combine is well underway, with on-field workouts beginning Thursday, March 2.[0] Hundreds of the top prospects for the draft will be competing in various drills, meeting with teams for in-depth interviews, and undergoing pre-draft measurements.[1]

Our coverage of the upcoming 2023 NFL Combine continues with a look at some of the top players to watch in Indianapolis.[2] Below is a breakdown of the daily schedule and some players to keep an eye on.

Monday, February 27: Prospects arrive in their positional groups.[3] During the initial period, athletes will undergo medical examinations, interact with NFL franchises, and address the press in a question-and-answer format.[3]

Thursday, March 2: Defensive line and linebackers (3 p.m. ET).

Saturday, March 4: Quarterbacks, wide receivers and tight ends (1 p.m. ET).

Some of the players to watch include Noah Sewell (LB, Oregon), Bryan Bresee (iDL, Clemson), Jalin Hyatt (Tennessee), Drew Sanders (LB, Arkansas), Ivan Pace Jr. (LB, Cincinnati), Byron Young (EDGE, Tennessee), Gervon Dexter (iDL, Florida), Keion White (EDGE, Georgia Tech), Trey Palmer (RB, Georgia), Will Levis (Kentucky), Anthony Richardson (Florida), Kenny McIntosh (Georgia), Quentin Johnston (TCU), Jordan Addison (USC), Devon Achane (RB, Texas A&M), Julius Brents (Kansas State), Ji’Ayir Brown (Penn State), Brian Branch (Alabama DB), Myles Murphy (EDGE, Clemson), Anfernee Orji (LB, Vanderbilt), Tyree Wilson (EDGE, Texas Tech), Cedric Tillman (WR, Uncommitted), and Darnell Wright (OL, Tennessee).

For the Bears, who have the No. 1 pick overall, Ryan Poles discussed his plans for the offseason at length during the NFL scouting combine.[5] He predicts the Bears would take Alabama edge Will Anderson Jr. after the Arizona Cardinals swoop up Georgia defensive lineman Jalen Carter.[6]
